About Medicana International Istanbul Hospital
Medicana International Istanbul Hospital opened in 2010 as part of the Medicana Health Group (established 1992). Spanning 30,000 m² with 191 inpatient beds, 26 observation beds, and 8 operating theaters, it is a comprehensive multi-specialty center serving patients with advanced medical technology.
The Oncology Center is the only advanced cancer treatment facility in the Istanbul region equipped with PET-CT, offering medical, radiation, surgical, and molecular oncology services. The center features LINAC with IMRT and TrueBeam STx for precision radiotherapy.
The Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Department performs over 15,000 angiographies annually and is supported by advanced cardiovascular ICU facilities. The Neurosurgery Department specializes in deep brain stimulation and complex spinal procedures, aided by a 1.5 Tesla intraoperative MRI.
The Bone Marrow Transplantation Center, established in 2020, features 11 HEPA-filtered rooms for maximum patient safety. The Organ Transplantation Center handles kidney and liver transplants. Additional specialties include IVF and reproductive medicine, pediatric surgery and cardiology, orthopedics, and aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
The hospital holds JCI accreditation (since February 2010), WHO/UNICEF Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative certification, and complies with Turkey Ministry of Health Service Quality Standards. Advanced diagnostic technology includes a 256-slice CT scanner, Gamma camera, SPECT-CT, and 3D tomosynthesis digital mammography.
