Medicana International Ankara

Medicana International Ankara opened in 2008 as a flagship facility of the Medicana Health Group. Located in the Söğütözü district of Çankaya, Ankara, it was the first private hospital in Ankara to integrate transplantation, nuclear medicine, oncology, cardiovascular services, and radiation under one roof (2013). The hospital spans 20,000 square meters with 207-215 inpatient beds, 8 operating rooms, 26 observation beds, and specialized ICU units: 17 medical/surgical ICU beds, 9 cardiovascular ICU beds, 5 coronary ICU beds, and 10 neonatal ICU incubators. The facility employs approximately 120 physicians and 800 personnel serving 50+ departments. Core specialties include organ transplantation (kidney, liver, bone marrow), oncology with radiation and medical oncology, cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, IVF and reproductive medicine, nuclear medicine, and gynecology. The bone marrow transplant center features 14 HEPA-filtered patient rooms and has performed over 1,000 BMT procedures. Advanced technology encompasses 256-slice CT, intraoperative 1.5 Tesla MRI, PET-CT, multislice CT, LINAC with IMRT capability, and CyberKnife radiosurgery for precise tumor treatment. Specialized centers include the cardiac health center, obesity center, lymphedema center, hearing and balance center, and breast center. JCI accredited with National Quality Approval, the hospital serves patients from Ankara, surrounding Turkish cities, the Middle East, North Africa, Balkans, Russia, and Eastern Europe. International patient services include interpretation in Arabic, English, French, German, Greek, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.
