Medicana Bursa Hospital

Medicana Bursa Hospital opened in 2017 as the 13th hospital of Medicana Health Group, one of Turkey's major private healthcare networks operating 18 hospitals across Turkey and 2 international facilities. The hospital serves as the reference healthcare center for Bursa and surrounding provinces including Balıkesir, Yalova, Çanakkale, and Kütahya. The 22-storey building covers 40,000 square meters with 300 beds (223-235 active), 8-10 operating theatres, 75 intensive care beds across specialized units (neonatal 12, coronary 8, cardiovascular surgery 7, general 31), an emergency department with 15 beds, 160 standard rooms, 4 suites, and 1 king suite. The oncology department provides comprehensive cancer care with Versa HD and Synergy Platform technology supporting VMAT, IMRT, IGRT, and stereotactic radiosurgery. The hospital treats all major cancer types including breast, lung, colorectal, liver, pancreatic, gynecological, urological, brain and spinal cord tumors, and head and neck cancers. Advanced technology includes the Da Vinci robotic surgery system, 3 Tesla MRI, multi-slice CT, PET-CT for cancer staging, catheterization labs with cardiac imaging and angiography, excimer laser for ophthalmology, Fibroscan, endoscopic ultrasound, and Nanoknife (IRE) for cancer treatment. The hospital performs organ transplantation (kidney and liver), bone marrow transplantation, and pediatric hematology-oncology. Additional specialties include cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, IVF, bariatric surgery, and plastic and reconstructive surgery. JCI accredited and recognized as Baby-Friendly Hospital by WHO and UNICEF, Medicana Bursa won the Best Hospital in Cardiology award in 2015 from the Turkish Society of Cardiology.
