About King Hussein Cancer Center

King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) is the only comprehensive cancer treatment center in the Middle East and one of the most advanced oncology facilities in the developing world. Located in Amman, Jordan, KHCC was established in 1997 under the patronage of the Jordanian Royal Family. The center operates with over 350 beds dedicated exclusively to cancer care, 10 modern operating rooms, a bone marrow transplant unit performing over 200 transplants annually, radiation therapy with linear accelerators and brachytherapy, and a comprehensive diagnostic imaging center. KHCC treats patients across the full spectrum of cancer types including solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, and pediatric cancers. The medical oncology department offers cutting-edge chemotherapy protocols, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and access to clinical trials through partnerships with international research networks. The radiation oncology department features TrueBeam linear accelerators, IMRT, SBRT, and SRS capabilities. The surgical oncology teams perform complex tumor resections, reconstructive surgery, and minimally invasive oncological procedures. KHCC holds JCI accreditation and ESMO Designated Centre of Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care status. Over 40% of patients come from outside Jordan, including Iraq, Libya, Palestine, Yemen, and other regional countries. The international patient department provides multilingual coordinators in English, Arabic, and French, visa assistance, accommodation arrangements, and comprehensive medical travel support. Jordan's political stability and central location make KHCC a critical oncology resource for the entire MENA region.
