About Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital
Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital opened in 2013 as part of the Florence Nightingale Group (founded 1989). The 18-floor, 50,254 sqm facility is Turkey's first green hospital, featuring 219-251 patient beds, 41-51 ICU beds, 11 operating rooms with laminar airflow systems, and a rooftop heliport for emergency transfers.
The Cardiac Surgery Department boasts a 99% success rate with over 41,000 surgeries performed, including 1,000 pediatric and 2,000 adult cardiac procedures annually. The hospital is a pioneer in robotic and open fetal heart surgery and heart transplantation.
The Spine & Scoliosis Center, led by Prof. Dr. Azmi Hamzaoglu, is internationally recognized for innovative techniques including Tethering and Self-Sliding Rod methods. The center attracts patients from around the world for complex spinal deformity corrections.
The Oncology Department has treated over 8,000 cancer cases, administered 50,000 chemotherapy sessions, and performed 160,000 radiotherapy treatments. It features TheraSphere targeted radiotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma. The Robotic Surgery Center performs 300+ annual urological procedures using the Da Vinci system.
The hospital was the first in Turkey to install the EOS ultra-low-dose 2D/3D orthopedic imaging device. Operating rooms connect via audio-visual integration to a 300-seat conference hall for live surgical training. The Florence Nightingale Group operates 4 hospitals and 2 medical centers with 2,500+ specialists, serving patients from over 110 countries.
