Institut Curie in Paris is one of the world's most prestigious cancer centres, with a history that traces directly to Marie Curie herself. Founded in 1909, the Institute is now recognised as a leading centre in Europe by the French National Cancer Institute (INCa) and the French Pediatric Oncology Association (SFCE). The Institut Curie treats all types of cancer across stages 1 to 4, including cases with metastases and tumours affecting surrounding organs — including cases that other institutions decline. Because the Institut Curie operates its own research centre, patients have access to the most advanced developments in oncology and experimental treatments that may not be available elsewhere in Europe or globally.
