About Dünyagöz Eye Hospital

Dünyagöz Eye Hospital was founded in 1996 and has grown into one of the world's largest specialized eye care networks. The Etiler flagship branch opened in 2007 and serves 66,000 patients annually. Across all locations, the network handles 8,000 outpatients and performs 1,000 surgeries daily. In 2006, Dünyagöz became the first ophthalmology facility in Turkey to receive JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation, setting the standard for eye care quality in the region. The hospital also holds ISO 9001 certification from TÜV NORD/SÜD. The medical team comprises 300 specialist ophthalmologists and over 3,500 total employees. The hospital treats patients from 160+ countries, with multilingual support available in English, German, Russian, and Arabic. International patient services include airport transfers, accommodation assistance, and meal arrangements. Dünyagöz pioneered several firsts in Turkish ophthalmology including bionic eye implant surgery and corneal cross-linking procedures. The refractive surgery department offers LASIK, SMILE, PRK, and Femto iLASIK using bladeless IntraLase technology. All lenses and materials are FDA-approved. Additional specialties include cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, retinal surgery, corneal transplantation, strabismus correction, oculoplastic surgery, and pediatric ophthalmology. The network has expanded internationally with branches in Germany, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Bosnia, making it accessible to patients across Europe and Central Asia.
