About Çağın Eye Hospital
Çağın Eye Hospital was established in 1989 in Gölcük, Kocaeli, by Dr. Kürşat Çağın and relocated to İzmit city center in 1999. The hospital moved to new facilities in December 2011 and began operating as a full hospital in December 2012. As the first private eye center in the Kocaeli region, it has performed over 1 million successful surgeries across 33+ years of experience. The hospital was one of the first centers in Turkey to perform laser operations, starting in 1996, with over 15,000 laser operations completed. The facility features 26 beds, 3 operating theaters (one dedicated to Excimer Laser), and covers 4,000 square meters with parking for 40 vehicles. Core specialties include refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, LASEK, iLASIK, Wavefront), keratoconus treatment (corneal cross-linking, ring implantation, transplantation — approximately 500 patients treated annually), cataract surgery with phacoemulsification, retina and macula diseases (vitrectomy, diabetic retinopathy, AMD, SML intraocular lens — first in Kocaeli), glaucoma treatment, strabismus surgery, oculoplastics, and corneal diseases with transplantation. The hospital has 7 full-time and 1 part-time specialized ophthalmologists and serves international patients from Europe, Russia, and Arab countries. Located at Yahyakaptan Mah., Demokrasi Cad.
