Apollo Proton Cancer Centre (APCC) in Chennai is Asia's first and largest proton therapy centre — a landmark in cancer treatment across the entire Asia-Pacific region. Operating as part of the Apollo Hospitals Group, India's largest private healthcare network, APCC represents the most advanced oncology facility in South Asia. The 150-bed centre is equipped with the IBA C230 Cyclotron, the Proteus Plus proton therapy system, and a complete suite of advanced diagnostic imaging including PET-CT, 3T MRI, and digital pathology platforms. These technologies allow APCC to offer Pencil Beam Scanning (PBS) proton therapy — the most precise form of radiation therapy available — minimising radiation exposure to healthy surrounding tissue.
